    It was nice before, but now it’s looks like a pretty near perfect form factor.

    How was the blade shortened and reshaped without affecting the original temper?

    Are there alternatives that could have been used instead?

    Can you give us an estimate of how long the process took?

    1. It wasn’t actually shortened at all–the spine was just dropped down to the point instead of coming to a flat. A nice fresh 36 grit grinding belt was used with water cooling and patience. It probably took about forty-five minutes. I’m not quite sure what you mean by alternatives, though.
